Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) is more than ready to see the back of Albert Square’s creepiest resident, Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona) in EastEnders, but there’s no way she’s giving up her newly acquired position so easily.
Not only has Bea wormed her way into Billy’s wife, Honey’s (Emma Barton) life as her brand new BFF, she’s managed to fenagle way into their home and the affections of their kids, Will (Freddie Phillips) and Janet (Grace).
It’s giving Single White Female.
Bea is a figure from Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) past, where she was an awkward little student, who bonded with the teachers more than her fellow students and, because of this, endured more than her fair share of bullying from Linda and the ‘pink posse’.
Now Bea’s all grown up and far more sinister than sympathetic, Linda’s desire to make things right by securing her place at mum, Elaine Peacock’s (Harriet Thorpe) boutique hotel (which is definitely not a B&B) when she was kicked out of her own place has brought the nefarious newcomer directly to Walford.
Bea found herself a job at the Minute Mart alongside Honey, but her scheme to extract bags of cash from it’s fearsome owner, Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal), didn’t exactly go to plan. For as devious as Bea is, she gravely underestimated the consequences of crossing the most fatale femme on Albert Square.
While Bea managed to win Honey’s job back by playing on the soft heart (and head) of Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota), she remained unemployed, and an incredibly guilty Honey asked her to house sit when she mentioned how uncomfortable staying at the B&B had become while she and the family went on holiday.
While Honey was away, though, a bitter spat with Elaine over money lead Bea to apply for a credit card. While she was initially rejected, Bea remained undeterred, and instead, she applied using Honey’s identity, instead.
I told you. Single White Female.
When Billy returned without Honey, who’d stayed behind to care for her aunty, he was immediately uncomfortable with how ensconced in their lives Bea had become, and more than a bit narked at how much food she’d managed to consume. After Securing employment at McClunky’s, Bea went on to spoil the kids with trips out and snacks, but after sorting Will a Saturday job, Billy told her she’s starting to cross some lines.
When Honey returned deeply concerned that she’s in the early stages of menopause, she and Billy decide it’s time that Bea moves out. When Honey told Bea, though, she responded by remaining calm before heading to work and trashing McClunky’s, after emptying it of customers.

Discovered by a concerned Will, Bea lies that she was attacked and turns in the performance of a lifetime, leaving the teenager deeply concerned for her. Summoning as much sympathy as she can with her phony attack story, Honey and Billy back down and agree she can stay.
Next week sees things remain tense, with Billy deeply uncomfortable around Bea. As she continues to spend enormous amounts of cash on her fraudulent card, Billy calls her out, though devious Bea remains one step ahead and leaves him looking like a total muppet.
Clearly Bea is more than a match for Billy and, as her behaviour becomes more and more sinister, are the Mitchell’s in serious danger?
