SnipeSearch.net Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 13-04-2026

Last Updated: 13-04-2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SnipeSearch.net (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. SnipeSearch.net is operated by SnipeSearch, an independent search and federated news ecosystem established in 2005. These Terms apply specifically to the SnipeSearch.net node, its manual-inclusion engine, and global indexing services.

2. Description of Service

SnipeSearch.net serves as the global technical anchor and primary aggregation hub for the ecosystem. The Service provides:

Manual-Inclusion Search: A proprietary search index built on verified site submissions.

Webmaster Aggregation Tools: The central portal for RSS/XML feed submissions and quality verification.

Global Signal Distribution: Technical infrastructure that provides search signals to regional nodes.

Optional User Accounts: Hosted on sovereign .net infrastructure for global search preferences.

3. Data Sovereignty and Privacy

3.1 Jurisdictional Commitment All user data generated on SnipeSearch.net remains on the .net node infrastructure. We do not engage in silent data migrations between regional nodes (such as .co.uk or .asia) without explicit user authentication or action.

3.2 Logged-Out Usage The vast majority of users access the Service without creating an account. For these users:

No personal data is collected or stored.

No behavioral tracking or user profiling occurs.

Search queries are processed in real-time on dedicated Xeon hardware and are not associated with individual identities.

3.3 Logged-In Usage Users who choose to create an account acknowledge that their data remains sovereign to the .net node. Account deletion results in the complete removal of associated data from our active systems.

4. Webmaster Submission & Content Policy

4.1 Manual Submission Basis SnipeSearch.net does not indiscriminately crawl the web. We prioritize a manual-inclusion model where webmasters submit their RSS/XML feeds to [email protected].

4.2 Content Standards We manually verify submissions to ensure they are free of spam and meet our quality standards. We reserve the right to refuse or remove any feed at our discretion to maintain the integrity of our "Balanced Results" model.

4.3 DMCA & Display Protocols To protect intellectual property, SnipeSearch.net follows a strict "Snippet-Only" policy. We only display the intro text/preview snippet provided by your feed. We never download or re-host your images; they are loaded remotely from your server, ensuring you maintain 100% control over your media.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Permitted Use You may use the Service for personal research, educational purposes, and discovery of federated news content.

5.2 Prohibited Use You may not:

Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service at a rate that degrades performance for other users.

Attempt to reverse-engineer the "Lean-Code" architecture or search algorithms.

Submit feeds containing malware, deceptive redirects, or illegal content.

Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Service Content The SnipeSearch.net interface, design, code, and "Lean-Code" algorithms (requiring only 200KB of memory per query) are proprietary to SnipeSearch.

6.2 Search Results & Feed Ownership We do not claim ownership of indexed content. Ownership remains with the original publishers. We provide attribution and direct links to the original source for every result.

7. Third-Party Services and Ads

7.1 External Links The Service contains links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external websites.

7.2 Non-Tracking Advertising SnipeSearch.net may display advertisements via the SnipeSearch AdClicks network. These ads are intent-based and served without behavioral profiling or user tracking. Advertisers never have access to your search history.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive for 24/7 availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any aspect of the Service, including search algorithms and news sources, at any time.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 "As-Is" Service THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of search results or third-party news content.

9.2 Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNIPESEARCH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

10.1 Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

10.2 Dispute Resolution Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, followed by mediation if necessary. If mediation fails, disputes will be settled via binding arbitration in London under the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).

11. Regional Provisions (UK & EU)

Users in the UK and EU are afforded protections under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, respectively, including the right to access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), and data portability.
