Outer Banksseason 5 had a lot to live up to. Not only did it have to provide a conclusive end to years of outlandish, addictive treasure-hunting escapades, it also had to deal with the fallout of beloved Pogue JJ Maybank's heartbreaking death in the season 4 finale. From the very beginning, Rudy Pankow's JJ was the glue that held the Pogues (and arguably the show) together, a teenage force of pain, friendship, fearlessness, and most of all, love. JJ really, really loved his friends, and as Outer Banks season 5 proves, his friends really, really loved him, too.
