Lewis Capaldi has been dragged into the Chappell Roan security guard saga, with singer Catherine Harding praising the star for his actions.

On March 23 (Australian time), Harding shared a photo of herself and daughter Ada – whom she shares with her ex, actor Jude Law, posing with Capaldi on her Instagram stories.

The post came just hours after Harding shared her side of what happened at the Brazillian hotel, which left her 11-year-old daughter in tears after a run in with Roan's security.

She then shared another snap of Ada and the 29-year-old singer, with the caption, "Thank you for your kindness," in a seemingly pointed message showing an example of a kind and respectful celebrity-fan interaction.

This was not the only celebrity interaction Ada had after the traumatising incident.

The previous evening, Harding took her daughter to see another popstar, Sabrina Carpenter, perform her set at Lollapalooza Brazil in São Paulo on Saturday, March 21. The young fan looked ecstatic to be witnessing the performance, having decided to skip Roan's performance on Sunday, March 22.

"Our daughter decided she didn't want to go to the show tonight after how we were treated," Harding explained.

"So, instead, we had a girls' shopping day and then went out for dinner together.

Harding and her daughter had travelled to Brazil to see Roan's set at Lollapalooza Brazil, after Ada asked for tickets for her birthday. Ada had even hand-made a sign to take to the concert before the incident at their hotel soured her experience with the pop star.

On March 22, Harding's husband, footballer Jorginho Frello, shared a lengthy post calling out the singer for making his step-daughter cry after being confronted by a security guard who was seemingly working on Roan's behalf.

"My daughter woke up extremely excited, she even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire @chappellroan," Jorginho wrote on Instagram, hours ahead of Roan's performance at Lollapalooza Brazil.

"By coincidence, they're staying at the same hotel as this artist," the post continued.

"During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognised her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her."

He said that Ada simply smiled at her and went back to the table, she didn't approach her or ask for anything.

Jorginho Frello accused Chappell Roan of making his step-daughter Ada Law cry

"A large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn't allow my daughter to 'disrespect' or 'harass' other people."

The soccer star claimed the security guard said he would "file a complaint against them with the hotel" saying his daughter was "sitting there in tears."

"My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot," he added.

He finished the statement on Instagram by urging the singer to reflect on the situation.

"I sincerely hope this serves as a moment of reflection. No one should have to go through this, especially not a child," read the post.

"WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING. AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION."

Roan responded with her own version of events.

On March 23, the 28-year-old American singer took to her own Instagram stories on Sunday and shared, "I didn't even see a woman and a child, like, no one came up to me. No one bothered me. I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel. I think these people were staying at the hotel, as well."

Roan explained she did not tell the security guard to "go up and talk" to the mother and daughter, who she later found out were Law's ex Harding and their daughter.

"I did not, [and] they did not come up to me. They weren't doing anything," she clarified.

"It's unfair for security to just assume someone doesn't have good intentions when they have no reason to believe because there's no action even taken, like, that's so not what I stand behind."

The Pink Pony Club singer added, "I do not hate children, like that is crazy."

She finished the video by apologising to Harding and her daughter for the interaction with the security guard.

"I'm sorry to that mother and child that someone was assuming something that you would do something and that if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad," Roan said.

"You did not deserve that."
