Blythe Howard to make her soap debut as General Hospital’s Monet
Howard joined General Hospital as Money, a lawyer, who is all set to make her debut on Wednesday, September 23. She comes across a Port Charles resident who is in need of legal help. In an interview with TV Insider, executive producer Frank Valentini welcomed Howard to the growing GH family and teased what her character could bring to the storyline. He said, “I am very excited to welcome Blythe Howard to the cast of General Hospital. Look for her to have an unexpected connection to a beloved Port Charles resident.”
Howard initially had plans to pursue broadcast journalism. During her initial years, she landed an opportunity as a VJ for a day on MTV’s Total Request Live. This happened when she won a nationwide contest while studying at Washington University. The experience there altered her life and led her to relocate to San Francisco to study acting. Her official career started when she came to Los Angeles and got her first commercial gig within a week.
Howard had a role in Yellowstone. She has also been a brief part of some other well-known projects such as Bel-Air, Walker, Mind Hunter, Saints & Sinners, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and The Glass Sipper Confessionals.
Before joining General Hospital, she appeared in the comedy movie Busboys. It centers around a pair of friends who believe everything would be sorted once they become waiters. However, life has a way of playing out.
