Evan Peters has addressed the possibility of returning as Quicksilver in the MCU during a recent interview with ComicBook. Peters, who first portrayed Peter Maximoff in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past and reprised the role in X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, said he remains open to revisiting the character. When asked if constant fan theories about his comeback were exhausting, Peters responded, “No, haha. No, actually. I’m curious.”

Reflecting on his time as the mutant speedster, Peters explained, “Yeah, anything really. I had such a blast playing that character. And, you got to dive a little bit into his home life is weird as it was. But, yeah, sort of exploring that more would be interesting. And the relationship with Magneto would be pretty cool. Yeah. So, yeah, I don’t know. Knock on wood.” He specifically noted his interest in further exploring the family dynamics between Quicksilver and Magneto.

Peters last appeared as Peter Maximoff in Marvel’s WandaVision in 2021, fueling speculation about Quicksilver’s future. Marvel has not confirmed his return, but the multiverse storyline keeps the possibility open. The MCU will bring back characters from Fox’s X-Men franchise in upcoming films.

Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and set to premiere on December 18, 2026, will include Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, arriving on December 17, 2027, is also expected to feature returning X-Men actors.

Meanwhile, Peters will star as Julian Dillinger in Tron: Ares, releasing in October 2025. He has noted that while no official plans exist, he remains open to reprising his role as Quicksilver in the MCU.
