In 2018, Cesar Faison fatally shot Nathan while he was rescuing Maxie. Nathan was trying to save Maxie from Faison when Faison resurfaced. Unfortunately, Nathan did not survive the shooting.

Hesitantly, she takes him to the hospital and admits him as John Doe since he had no ID on him. However, DNA tests confirmed that he is, in fact, Nathan West. In an interview with TV Insider, Paevy hinted at what’s coming in the upcoming episodes. “This go-round is definitely going to be wildly different than the last one was,” the actor shared. “We’ve got some fun stuff planned. We’re going to stir the pot. I wouldn’t come back for something vanilla. It’s going to be a blast,” Paevy revealed.
