Back to the Future is essentially a flawless film. It's so well-structured that even down to the most miniscule of lines, the flick holds up quite well. We all love Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly and his plucky companion Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), and even if their friendship makes little sense on paper, we buy it hook, line, and sinker. But there's one point in the film where, if you're paying attention, you can actively see things begin to shift in Doc Brown's mind regarding the space-time continuum. It's here that he is ultimately proven wrong about time travel, and it informs his decision to travel to the future at the very end.
