In 1998, future music superstar Usher made his Bold and Beautiful debut as Raymond, who was entangled with Amber (Adrienne Frantz). When Amber became pregnant, she infamously was unsure of whether the father was Raymond or Rick Forrester, and she hid her involvement with Raymond from an unsuspecting Rick.
In 2006, Stephen Nichols (l., pictured with Matthew Ashford as Jack) returned to Days of Our Lives as Steve Johnson after a 16-year absence. The character had been presumed dead since Nichols left the show in 1990. In between Salem stints, the actor appeared briefly on Santa Barbara as Skyler Gates in 1992 and as Stefan Cassadine on General Hospital from 1996-2003. In the storyline, Steve was discovered alive but amnesiac by his brother, Jack, and after a DNA test convinced Steve that he was who Jack said he was, he agreed to accompany Jack back to Salem.
In 2000 on Days of Our Lives, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) gave birth to a baby boy that she believed was her second son with Bo (Peter Reckell). They named him John Thomas (JT for short). Stefano DiMera suspected he was the true father, as he had been intimate with Hope when she was brainwashed. Thanks to Stefano's machinations, Hope and Bo actually went home with another newborn, whose mother was Dr. Rolf's troubled niece, Marlo Ungerschterner, while Abe and Lexie Carver unwittingly went home with Hope's baby. They named him Isaac. It wasn't until January 2002 that the tangled truth unraveled and Hope discovered that "Isaac" was her son. She and Bo called him Zack. Tragically, Zack was killed in 2006.
