Prime Video has developed the second-largest streaming audience in the modern era, behind only Netflix. The streamer follows a similar model to Netflix, regularly releasing new original shows featuring big stars while also adding older classics to its library. Prime Video also has the backing of the massive Amazon MGM Studios, which releases some of the biggest movies each year, allowing a straight pipeline from theaters to the streamer. The biggest show on Prime Video is likely Reacher, the action smash starring Alan Ritchson that’s returning for Season 4 this year. Amazon has already released one of the most polarizing sci-fi movies of the year thus far with Mercy, which co-stars Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson. The film premiered exclusively in theaters this January, and it’s since become one of the most popular movies in the world on Prime Video.
