Question: I am divorced with two teenage children. My ex father-in-law is currently receiving palliative care. My question is: what is my role, if any, at his funeral when he passes away? I am very fond of him and, while we haven’t seen much of each other, we get on very well. As a divorcee, do I, or should I, play any role at the funeral home or church or graveside? Or should I stay away?
