Laura Donnelly wants Marvel Studios to assemble the Midnight Sons in the MCU. The Werewolf by Night star told MovieWeb she would love to reprise her role as Elsa Bloodstone. Her comments follow Oscar Isaac’s recent confirmation that talks about a Midnight Sons project took place.

Isaac revealed on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast that “there was an interesting talk” about the project. He also stressed the importance of treating the material seriously. “It’s expressing something very real and challenging and difficult,” Isaac said about Moon Knight’s portrayal of DID.

Donnelly echoed the enthusiasm many MCU fans share for the supernatural corner of the franchise. “I love that, the opening up of that aspect of the MCU, that kind of monster horror universe that really appeals to me,” she said. She also expressed her desire to see Elsa and Werewolf by Night join a larger team.

“I would love to see Elsa and Jack kind of get drawn into that bigger world as a whole, because there are so many other characters to explore there, and I’d love to see them all come together, you know,” she explained. “Bring on Midnight Sons, I say!”

The MCU already features several characters who belong to the Midnight Sons in Marvel Comics. Doctor Strange, Wong, Moon Knight, Elsa Bloodstone, Werewolf by Night, Iron Fist, Man-Thing, and Doctor Voodoo all exist within the franchise. Blade also remains in development, further expanding the roster of potential team members.

Ryan Gosling has also entered the conversation as a fan-favorite candidate for Ghost Rider. Isaac endorsed that casting, calling it “a no-brainer.” Gosling confirmed that discussions about the role took place but described it as “a complicated situation.”
