Throughout the last decade, one of the largest criticisms of talk-show hosts has been the treatment of their guests, specifically when it comes to using humiliation to entertain an audience. It’s a trend that’s been used on several talk shows over the years, with Graham Nortonbeing the exception. He's proven to rarely rely on shock humor or insults, instead trying to create a comfortable environment for every guest. Most talk show hosts begin by building up their guests and outlining their accomplishments when they appear, but will quickly find a flaw to use against them for entertainment purposes, a tactic that Norton thankfully doesn't use.
