Marshals continues this week with Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) doing something that he never would have done years ago. This week's episode, "Falling Sky," may be predictable in many respects, hitting the usual beats we would expect from a neo-Western procedural such as this. Yet, where the CBS drama thrives is in the small character moments on the side. It may not feel like essential Yellowstone Universe viewing, but Marshals is attempting a bold new direction with its leading star that goes beyond what Taylor Sheridan's original material had to offer.
