(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Former Charlotte City Councilwoman Tiawana Brown has filed an appeal of her 10-month federal prison sentence, saying she believes “it’s the right thing to do.” According to a notice of appeal filed on Thursday, Sept. 24, in federal court, Brown is appealing the judgment to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
