X-Men '97 certainly laid the foundations for the MCU to bring the X-Men to live-action, but the MCU is likely to be using a different show as a template moving forward. Long before the Avengers became the face of Marvel on the big screen, the X-Men held the title as Marvel's most recognizable heroes.
