Tasked with meeting the new sky-high expectations set by its wonderful premiere, Witch Hat Atelier faced a daunting task ahead with the upcoming episode #3. Viewers were already introduced to the fascinating yet accessible magic system, as well as the fascinating world of witches and their apprentices, but now, the plot must move forward while believably upholding the stakes established in episodes #1 and #2. Fortunately, much like in Kamome Shirahama's original manga, the young Coco's ingenuity and heart-healing charm win over viewers to make this anime pass the three-episode rule with flying colors.
