The actress, who played GBI deputy director Amanda Wagner for four seasons, hinted that her departure was not her choice. She told fans in the second video, “Once you get the pink slip, it’s just a job.”

Sohn expressed deep gratitude for the fan response to her character’s death in the April 14 episode. She said in her first video, “I have been so touched, just so taken with the response to Amanda’s passing.” The actress thanked fans for sending long messages of support and love to her page.

She acknowledged the limited power actors hold in production decisions. Sohn stated, “Actors are really low people on the totem pole when it comes down to the big structure.” She added, “When you get a pink slip, you don’t ask about it. You just say goodbye.”
