Teenager Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) has a secret plan to flee Coronation Street with Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon), the sexual predator who groomed him. Just as it looks like he will never escape his abuser’s clutches, the unexpected happens.
The Driscoll clan were devastated to learn that Will had been gaslit into an illicit and illegal ‘relationship’ by his athletics coach Megan. Worse still, the police couldn’t do anything because the monster had been careful enough not to leave a shred of evidence…
… except the baby she was pregnant with, of course. But when Will’s grandmother Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) shoved her in a moment of sheer rage, Megan did the unthinkable by lying that she lost the baby when in fact, she had undergone a secret termination.
The whole street might hate Megan’s guts, but sadly Will is still very much under her spell and is planning to run away with her to Paris… although he has no idea that Megan is planning on leaving him behind.
After the harrowing ordeal Will’s been through, his mother Melanie (Cindy Humphries is getting involved and causes a headache for his dad Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker), who was not thrilled when she announced that Will should move to Scotland with her.
In next week’s trip to the Cobbles, Melanie calls at the Rovers and tells Ben it’s time that it’s high time Will came to live with her to escape the Megan trauma. Ben won’t hear of it. However, Melanie sets the cat amongst the pigeons by dropping a huge bombshell about Megan.
Stepping in to defend her partner, Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) insisted that Megan fooled them all and tried to persuade not to blame Ben.
But it fell on deaf ears when Melanie visited Maggie and tasked her with persuading Ben to let Will move to Scotland – or she will reveal how Maggie killed his adoptive dad Alan by pushing him down the stairs.
Although Will was initially dead against the idea of moving, he seemingly comes round when Ben reluctantly suggests to Will that the change of scenery might do him good.
However, it’s all part of Megan’s twisted plan, as next week’s trip to the Cobbles’ sees Will go behind his family’s back to help his abuser escape.
While Ben is horrified to discover £2k missing from the safe…

… Will secretly meets Megan to hand over the cash, securing their flights to France.
When Eva confronts Will about the money, he acts innocent and asserts hecan’t wait to move to Scotland. So Ben, Eva and Susie bid an emotional farewell to Will as he leaves in Tim’s taxi, unaware of his true plans…
As luck might have it, Will happens to be picked up by the one taxi driver in Weatherfield who understands what he’s going through – Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine).
Like Will, Tim lost his virginity to an older woman, Trisha, and had no idea at the time that the relationship was exploitative and abusive.
In the cab, Tim receives a notification that the Glasgow train is cancelled. When Will insists that they head for the station anyway, Tim becomes suspicious.
Having also seen that Will’s train is cancelled, Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) tries to call him. Realising Will’s passport has gone, Ben’s thrown into panic and instructs Steve to message Tim and tell him not to let Will out of his sight.
Back in the cab, Tim tells Will all about his relationship with Tricia, how much he enjoyed it at the time but how he’s come to realise that technically he was a victim of rape.
Can Tim get through to Will before it’s too late?
