Thanks to CBS's scheduling, there's no new episode of Matlock season 2 tonight, April 30, 2026. The quasi-Matlock"reboot" was the best debut of 2024, and that's no easy feat, considering the sheer number of hits from that cycle. Spearheaded by Kathy Bates, the CBS series has a solid ensemble that backs up a very interesting premise that puts a different spin on revivals. Considering what it was able to accomplish in its freshman year, it was no surprise that its return was hotly anticipated for the 2025-2026 TV cycle.
