Hylton asserts that Blige went to extraordinary lengths to undermine this agreement. The lawsuit describes multiple instances where Blige reportedly held private meetings with Vado, from yacht and hotel meet-ups, all without Hylton or her representatives present. These secretive meetings allegedly included discussions about terminating Vado’s contract with M.I.S.A.

It became messier when Blige’s company, Beautiful Life Productions, allegedly declined to make Vado’s completed album publicly available or release it. In private messages, Blige made it clear she wouldn’t allow the album’s release or permit touring activities as long as Vado remained under Hylton’s management.

This alleged blockade reportedly put Vado in financial limbo, leaving him unable to repay advances or generate income. Hylton’s legal team argues these actions constitute intentional interference with business relationships, among other claims. The lawsuit seeks $5 million in damages for breach of contract, business interference, and emotional distress.

Beyond being sued, the case also reminds fans of the broken personal relationship the two have. Hylton and Blige share decades of professional history. Fans believe that the lawsuit suggests this personal connection makes the alleged business interference particularly damaging.
