When Will Hokum Get Its Digital & Streaming Release Date?

Severance star Adam Scott’s latest horror film, Hokum, has opened in theaters with great critical acclaim, and now fans are eager to know when they can catch the film at home.

While it is still too early to know the exact release date for digital and streaming platforms, looking into the history of the production house may provide clues about when fans can expect to watch it at home.

When could Hokum get its digital release date?

Hokum does not yet have a digital release date, but it is expected to be out after the conclusion of its theatrical run.

Neon films usually take 30 to 45 days to arrive for rent and purchase. Considering that the film premiered on May 1, 2026, in theaters, it could arrive for rent and purchase any time between June 1 and June 15, 2026.

The date may vary slightly if the film continues to do excellent in the box office. So far, it has accumulated around $18 million, nearly three times its budget.

When is Hokum’s streaming release date?

While the film may be available for rent and purchase quite soon, this may not be the case for streaming platforms.

As Neon does have streaming ties, Hokum would arrive on Hulu eventually, but it could arrive three to six months after the theatrical release. This means fans can expect the film to arrive anywhere between August and November 2026.

Helmed by Damian McCarthy, Hokum is a Gothic supernatural horror film that follows an author (Adam Scott) who travels to a hotel in Ireland, which is haunted.

The synopsis for the film reads, “When novelist Ohm Bauman retreats to a remote inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, he’s consumed by tales of a witch that haunts the honeymoon suite. Soon, disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance force him to confront dark corners of his past.”

Those who want to catch the film sooner can still see it in theaters across the United States.
