Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband and famous industrialist Sunjay Kapur passed away at the age of 53. As per various media reports, Kapur was playing polo when he suffered a heart attack and was in the US when he took his last breath. Sunjay got married to Karisma in 2003 and their wedding became the talk of the town. Before getting married to Sunjay, Karisma was in a relationship with Amitabh Bachchan's son Abhishek Bachchan. The two were all set to get married, but destiny had other plans for them. Karisma then got married to Sunjay. Things between them turned chaotic when their marriage witnessed issues. As per reports, Raja Hindustani actress after their wedding, she and Kapur went for their honeymoon and her husband asked her to sleep with his friends.
In an interview, according to a report by ViralEnaTalk.com, she said, "When we were on our honeymoon, Sanjay had quoted my price with his friends. He even forced me to spend a night with his friends. Sanjay used to hit me a lot and I used to hide the wounds by applying makeup on my face. When things went out of control, I had no option left but to file a police complaint."
As per reports, Sunjay used to discuss Karisma's expenses with her brother. Karisma realized that Kapur only tied the knot with her because she was the top star in the industry and was bringing more attention to him. Karisma revealed that his hidden agenda was to focus her as a trophy wife within his Delhi social circle and he was trying hard to establish his prominence. Things started getting violent and she filed a complaint against her in-laws and moved out of that marriage after 11 years. The two are parents to Samaira Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor. Karisma was granted custody of both kids and they reside in Mumbai. After the divorce from Karisma, Sunjay married Priya Sachdev and they are parents to a son.
