The European Union and Australia struck a long-awaited free-trade deal on Tuesday as the bloc seeks to diversify its export markets and expand beyond ​its traditional partners. The deal, however, has drawn stern criticism from European farmers' groups that called concessions on exports of Australian beef, sugar and lamb "unacceptable".
