Kimmel expressed gratitude for the medical professionals at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Cedars-Sinai for their support throughout Billy’s medical treatments.

The late-night host posted a photo of Billy enjoying an ice cream on Instagram. He wrote in the caption, “Today is Billy’s 8th birthday. He is very healthy and strong thanks to the doctors, nurses, therapists, and staff at @ChildrensLA & @CedarsSinai and to those of you who have sent prayers, well wishes and donations through the years.” The host also encouraged his followers to donate to support children in need of medical care. 

Over the years, Kimmel has been open about Billy’s health struggles, sharing the emotional challenges his family has faced. Kimmel previously revealed that his son required emergency heart surgery just after he was born. Later, he underwent a second open-heart surgery.
