West Ham have turned down a transfer bid for Mohammed Kudus from Chelsea, according to reports.

TalkSPORT report that the Blues made a player-plus-cash offer for the 24-year-old, who has a release clause in his Hammers contract set at £85m.

The report states that Chelsea offered goalkeeper Robert Sanchez and midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as options for West Ham in a deal for Kudus.

However, the Hammers are keen to keep hold of the Ghana international, who they paid £38m for when they signed him from Ajax in 2023.

Kudus scored 14 goals in 45 appearances in his first season with West Ham and managed five in 35 in the most recent campaign.

Chelsea have tried to do a deal for less than that fee, offering players in exchange, but West Ham are yet to be convinced.

Asked about his future in April, Kudus told SportsBoom: ‘I’m just here to play my football, enjoy myself, and help the team as much as I can. The future will take care of itself.’

Chelsea are set for another very busy transfer window, with the £30 signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town already confirmed.

The Blues are also in the market for a new goalkeeper and are interested in AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, although may not meet the Italian club’s £25m asking price.

Talks have been held for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, who would set Chelsea back £50m.

Brighton striker Joao Pedro has also been linked with a £50m move to Stamford Bridge, although the Brazilian is also a target for the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.

Chelsea are also looking to secure a number of outgoings, with as many as 15 players available to be sold this summer.

Djordje Petrovic, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu, Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix were all sent out on loan last season and have been transfer listed.

Christopher Nkunku had an extremely underwhelming season last time round and is expected to leave this summer, with Tottenham linked with the French forward.

Noni Madueke has also been linked with an exit, while Jadon Sancho will not remain at the club, with the Blues choosing not to make his loan switch from Manchester United permanent. Sanchez is also on the chopping block after an error-strewn season in goal.

West Ham are in the market for a new goalkeeper after Lukasz Fabianski’s departure and have been linked with Southampton’s Aaron Ramsdale.
