Prime Video's romantic comedy, Red, White & Royal Blue, swept audiences off their feet so much so that they were left longing for more after the credits rolled. The streamer gladly honored the viewers' request as a sequel was greenlit not long after. However, continuing the story wasn't exactly straightforward, since the original film had already covered the entirety of Casey McQuiston’s bestselling 2019 novel, leaving writer-director Matthew López with the tricky task of figuring out where to go next. Fortunately, there’s good news for fans as, according to López, McQuiston is now actively involved in developing the sequel, helping ensure that the new chapter remains true to the beloved characters.
