DEIDRE SAYS: YOU need to address the imbalance in your relationship, otherwise it simply won’t last.

You’ve already cheated – no doubt in part because you feel taken for granted.

Warren most likely grew up with a mum who indulged his every need.

Stop asking him to ‘help you’ and start telling him he needs to do his bit.

He needs to start appreciating the importance of contributing to keep the house running smoothly.

Draw up a list of chores and split them up between you. If he doesn’t know how to do something YouTube is an amazing resource and has a tutorial for absolutely everything.

Tell him that if he wants a healthy relationship he needs to start pulling his weight, or if it’s a mother figure he’s after, he’d better move back home.
