1999 PS1 game 70's Robot Anime Geppy-X drops free PS5 & PS4 remaster demo

A PS1 cult classic game announced a surprise PS5 and PS4 remaster earlier this year, which PS Store users can try for free right now. Implicit Conversions and Bliss Brain Corporation have dropped a free demo for 70s-style Robot Anime Geppy-X, which originally released in Japan only.

70’s Robot Anime Geppy-X is a single-player scrolling shooter, so you don’t need PS Plus to play its demo. All players can check out the main story through Stage 4.

The demo includes a “key event” following which the main story branches out. You can continue from that point onwards if you purchase the full game.

Here’s what players can expect from the PS5 and PS4 remaster of 70’s Robot Anime Geppy-X:

70’s Robot Anime Geppy-X remaster will release on July 16, 2026.
