One of the most highly anticipated movies of the next few years is the long-awaited Call of Duty adaptation, which now finally has a director and writer attached. The movie will be helmed by Peter Berg, with Taylor Sheridan writing the script. Sheridan has experience crafting stories featuring the military, as does Berg. In fact, Berg also has experience directing a big-budget game adaptation, although his first attempt was disappointing in every regard. The movie in question was released in 2012, following Hasbro’s massively successful Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. There was even some chatter about crossing over the Transformers franchise with G.I. Joe and Berg’s film.
