Train derailment in East Sussex closes several routes

All passengers now off the train with no deaths or serious injuries reported, but Southern rail says there will be major disruption to services in area

A passenger train has derailed between Haywards Heath and Lewes in East Sussex, prompting a rapid emergency response in the area.

Images of the aftermath show at least two carriages on their side. They appeared to show passengers standing on top of the toppled carriages while others could be seen in an area of heathland alongside emergency workers.
