Top 5 favorite authors

When I was a kid, I don’t recall having a favorite author. I just read books that interested me regardless of who wrote it. However, once I’ve become an adult, I’ve noticed that I keep buying books from certain authors before I started realizing it. The following list are some favorites of mine but they’re in no particular order.

Darcy Coates = I came across this author when I stumbled upon them while looking for some e-books to put on my Kindle Fire (this was back when I first purchased my Kindle). I was looking for some horror literature because that’s one of my favorite genres and her name kept coming up. Now, I see her books at my local book store in paperback form and I think people are starting to notice her more.

Joe Hill = I got into this author when I started reading their “Locke & Key” series (they’re comic books but they’re still pretty good). After that, I read their “NOS4A2” and “Heart-Shaped Box” novels which I’d recommend, especially if you are a fan of horror.

Francis Duncan = This is a pen name for the author William Underhill. I didn’t discover that until later on but I love the Mordecai Tremaine series from this author. If you are a fan of Agatha Christie or you’re someone who just likes mystery then you might like their work (Agatha Christie is probably someone else I like to read or have read).

Amy Cross = This was another horror author I discovered while looking for e-books to add to my Kindle Fire. Over the past summer, I discovered her “The Haunting of Hadlow House” series which I hope to start soon. I’m kind of a sucker for haunted house stories, I think that was what helped me find this author. I wasn’t just looking for horror material but I looked up stuff that involved a haunted house and this author came up.

Joseph Delaney = I discovered this author when I read their Wardstone Chronicles series (I think I even read the series through twice). It’s a good series if you like stories about spooky things that go bump in the night and fighting off evil.
