Tom Felton, who is set to reprise his role as Draco Malfoy in the Broadway adaptation of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, was asked by Variety whether Rowling’s statements on gender identity affect his relationship with the franchise. To this, he replied, “No, I can’t say it does, I’m not really that attuned to it.” The clip from the interview quickly circulated on X (formerly Twitter), where many fans reacted with disappointment and frustration.
