New Girlis just one of those shows that never seems to run out of iconic episodes. "Background Check" is the perfect showcase of the show's most chaotic humor, "The Cooler" delivers the turning point in New Girl's main love story, and other memorable installments tackle everything from tear-jerking weddings to the tragic tale of Schmidt (Max Greenfield) attempting to buy a lionfish. Elizabeth Meriweather's network hit has a little bit for everyone across its seven seasons, but one of the series' best episodes also happens to be one of its most underrated. Specifically, Season 5, Episode 18, "A Chill Day In," ranks among New Girl's most enjoyable installments because of its low stakes and focus on the series' most compelling relationships.
