The Joker must be one of the most delicious characters to play in live-action cinema. Gotham’s clown prince of crime is the bane of Batman’s existence, and his most iconic foe. Heath Ledger redefined being the agent of chaos in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, winning a posthumous Oscar. Then Joaquin Phoenix brought another side of the character to celluloid with his Oscar-winning performance in 2019’s Joker. So, now fans are eagerly awaiting to see who will play the Joker in James Gunn’s DCU, and there’s one MCU villain who’d like to give it a try.
