When we think of the most brutal scenes in anime history, our minds immediately go to the many gruesome, traumatizing deaths that populate the medium. The Eclipse in Berserk. Nanaba's (Asami Shimoda) demise in Attack on Titan. Basically any death that takes place in Devilman Crybaby. However, most recently, an anime has proven that brutality doesn't necessarily entail killing people, or even punching them almost to the point of no return. As a matter of fact, the most brutal scene in recent anime history has much more to do with bringing someone back to life than with sending them to the other realm. Blood, guts, and a complete, sudden vibe shift are enough to turn this one resurrection into one of the most traumatizing moments ever put to animation, period. And what's even more bizarre is that it all takes place in an anime as allegedly cutesy as Delicious in Dungeon.
