The familiarity of They Will Kill You is inescapable. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, a movie about the same thing (that's a sequel to an earlier movie about the same thing), released in theaters just last week. That could have sunk this project before it even started, but instead, writer-director Kirill Sokolov makes it part of its charm. He's upfront about the uphill battle to get us invested, and he fights it by trying to convince us it's not what happens that matters, but how it happens. Sure, you've seen this setup somewhere before, but have you ever seen it like this?
