The Witcher has not-so-quietly become one of the biggest fantasy franchises in the world, and the demand for more content is so high that there are multiple new releases on the horizon. There are two huge releases from the world of The Witcher overshadowing all the rest, which are the fifth and final season of The Witcher Netflix show and the fourth Witcher game from CD Projekt Red. Netflix has already confirmed that The Witcher Season 5, which stars Liam Hemsworth in the titular role and not Henry Cavill, is coming to streaming sometime in 2027. Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red recently confirmed it’s targeting a 2028 launch date for The Witcher 4, which is disappointing but not all that surprising. It’s expected to be one of the biggest and most ambitious games of all time.
