The modestly budgeted animated film The King of Kings has quietly been conquering the box office since its debut ahead of Easter. In under two weeks of release, The King of Kings has passed a major milestone at the global box office, emerging as one of the rare religious films to break out into the mainstream. The King of Kings features an all-star cast led by Oscar Isaac, who voices Jesus. It's told from the point of view of Charles Dickens, who is transported to biblical times with his young son. The movie garnered widespread attention on Good Friday especially, and even on the otherwise muted Easter holiday.
