With Netflix due to bring out a Dungeons & Dragons TV show in the next few years, it is time for fans to contemplate the adaptation of one of the best Forgotten Realms book series. The show will be set in the eponymous Forgotten Realms, arguably the most famous campaign setting in Dungeons & Dragons, next to Dragonlance, perhaps. Dungeons & Dragons has been nurturing this campaign setting ever since Ed Greenwood created it in the 1960s, so it has some excellent books to its name and one of them may give the show a good starting point.
