It was all building towards this weekend, and if things work out (as they mostly have), the folks over at Sony will be heaving a sigh of relief because they're planning something similar with their ambitious four-part Beatles series, due out in 2028. Beginning three weeks ago, Fathom Events debuted three separate installments of the faith-based television series The Chosen's fifth season in theaters. Titled The Chosen: Last Supper, the "trilogy" has since grossed a combined total of over $40 million, pushing the franchise past massive global box office milestones.
