Gen V teaser reveals new footage from Season 2

Gen V Season 2 picks up after The Boys Season 4, bringing Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) and her classmates back to Godolkin University. The season consists of eight episodes, with the first three releasing on premiere day and the rest rolling out weekly through October 22.

The teaser showcases Marie joining forces with Starlight (Erin Moriarty), setting up a major crossover with The Boys. Cipher (Hamish Linklater) steps in as Godolkin’s new dean and enforces a militarized curriculum. Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) emerge as the “Guardians of Godolkin.” Lizze Broadway, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Sean Patrick Thomas return to their roles, while Ethan Slater joins as Thomas Godolkin, the school’s founder.

The footage also highlights Project Odessa, a secret program from World War II. This suggests a stronger connection between Gen V and The Boys. The trailer also shows Homelander (Antony Starr), Firecracker (Valorie Curry), Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward). Sister Sage continues to act as Homelander’s ally. Explosions, confrontations, and clashes between humans and supes dominate the teaser.

About Marie, producer Eric Kripke told Entertainment Weekly, “If she can control everybody’s blood, then what can’t she do? How is she not the most powerful superhero on the planet?” Jaz Sinclair added, “I just like that she’s an underdog, and I like that she’s a Black woman, too. This super sexist, patriarchal bad guy. I would love to see him get his ass handed to him by a Black woman.”

The season also honors late actor Chance Perdomo. Showrunner Michele Fazekas explained to Variety, “It felt really important. The thing I’m most proud of, when you watch the entirety of the season, is he is there the whole way, in a way that feels real.”

The spin-off of The Boys will return with Season 2 on September 17, 2025.
