The Boys is coming back, but the superhero franchise will look very different when it returns to Prime Video, as a major genre change is on the way. 2026 has proven itself a major year for superhero series thus far, with many either ending or being canceled. For instance, two series based on Marvel characters that debuted this year were canceled.
