Tay and Taylor Lautner have officially welcomed their first child. The couple, who first announced their pregnancy in March 2026, shared the happy news in a joint Instagram post a week after their baby’s birth.

The Lautners have become first-time parents to a baby girl named Lennon Taylor Lautner, whom they affectionately call “Lenny.” In a shared Instagram post, the couple shared a picture of their baby, revealing the name on a needlepoint. The caption read, “One week loving our sweet little Lenny. Lennon Taylor Lautner. 9.16.2026.” Notably, they picked Taylor as their child’s middle name as a nod to their own name.

The couple met and began dating in 2018. They got engaged in 2021 and were married in November 2022. The couple announced their pregnancy in an Instagram post captioned, “What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?” It was followed by a baby shower on August 19, thrown by influencer Jaclyn Hill and her husband, chef and food influencer Jordan Farnum. Hill was called the “best auntie ever” by Tay Lautner for the gesture.

Although Tay and Taylor Lautner have shared the good news, they are still settling into life as first-time parents. In a previous episode of Tay’s podcast, The Squeeze, the new mom shared her fears of sharing her pregnancy with the public.

In the episode, she said, “I’ve never shared anything this personal with the internet before. And I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about it.” These fears are evident in the Instagram post, as the couple chose to protect their daughter’s privacy by not showing her face.

Moreover, during her pregnancy, Tay revealed that she planned to keep her child from the public eye. In an episode of the Unplanned Podcast, she said, “The internet is, I’ve just learned, such a scary place to have kids, and I have friends that share their kids all the time, and I love seeing their kids on the internet. But for me personally, I don’t think that’s what I want to do. But I could change my mind. It’s just a level of privacy.”
