HBO’s Task Episode 4’s ending has revealed who the mole is in the team. After a dramatic revelation in last week’s episode, Tom realizes that there is a mole in the team who could be working for the Dark Hearts. With the latest episode, fans may finally have answers to who this mole might be.
Here are the details on what happened in Episode 4.

Who is the mole in Task Episode 4’s ending?
Task is HBO’s latest crime drama that features Mark Ruffalo, Jamie McShane, Fabien Frankel, Emilia Jones, and Tom Pelphrey, among many others. Created by Brad Ingelsby, it centers on Tom Brandis ( Ruffalo), an FBI agent who is put in charge of a task force. Their mission is to stop a series of robberies that lead to an unassuming family man named Robbie.
In Task Episode 4, “All Roads,” it is finally revealed that Kathleen McGinty, the boss, is the lead in the FBI. Ever since his realization about a mole, Tom has been suspicious of everyone around him, including his own team. The episode begins with Tom planning a sting operation in a park to arrest Cliff and recover the missing child. He uses Ray’s cellphone to set up the sting at Bailey Park. The team texts Cliff posing as Ray to coordinate the drug drop.
However, the operation goes wrong because the mole is leaking information to the Dark Hearts. Kathleen has been secretly warning Jayson about the sting over a phone call.
Meanwhile, a group called “Mother Club” decides to remove Jayson from power. Perry also learns that Jasyon killed Robbie’s brother, Billy, over a personal matter rather than business. Perry confronts and assaults Jayson, but Jayson asks for forgiveness by stating that their mole came through, saving them from being ambushed.
The sting operation escalates when Cliff is ambushed and beaten by the Dark Hearts. The task force chases after Cliff’s leads but fails to catch them. This sting failure has created a sense of urgency in Tom to find the mole. Unsuspecting of him, the mole is closer than he thinks.
