Sydney Sweeney is facing fresh criticism from her Euphoria costar, Sharon Stone, over her nude ad campaign. Not long ago, Sweeney attracted worldwide backlash after she posed for the sports betting app Novig.
Recently, Stone attended Variety’s 2026 Power of Women: Los Angeles event. In an exclusive interview with People, she urged Sweeney to come forward and take responsibility for her actions. “I think that it’s up to her to take responsibility for her actions, not up to me to judge her for her actions. It is up to me to be a cheerleader for the women who have made it through and become champions in women’s sports,” Stone said. “We can’t denigrate women’s sports to get men’s attention so they can gamble.”
In the ad campaign, the Housemaid star posed nude with different sports equipment while promoting the betting app. As many found her poses provocative, Sweeney was called out by several female athletes.
