The pair also reflected on how they have been good friends over all these years, always present in each other’s highs and lows. However, they didn’t expect their friendship to blossom into love. They wrote, “Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach.”

Moreover, they revealed that as they developed feelings for one another, they needed some time to make sense of it. Clarifying that they didn’t intend to hurt anyone by hiding their relationship update, they added, “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.”

This confirmation comes after the duo debunked earlier rumors about their romance.
