Stephen King slams Donald Trump using Bible verse over Epstein scandal
Stephen King has frequently criticized Donald Trump over the years. The bestselling author has often mocked the president on social media. This time, he turned to the Bible while calling for the release of the remaining Epstein files.
King shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, quoting a well-known passage from the Bible. He wrote, “In Matthew chapter 21: Christ drove the money changers from the temple, crying, “You have turned the house of prayer into a den of thieves.” What do you think He would make of Trump and his pals?”
Shortly afterward, King posted another brief message calling for the files to be released. “Epstein files. Release ’em.” The posts quickly sparked mixed reactions across social media. Many users supported King’s comments, while many others criticized him in the replies.
One user wrote, “So somebody told you this and said it has something to do with Trump? Did you even look at what you posted? Even without context you should know it has nothing to do with Trump. With context it would be even more obvious.” Another wrote, “Yes, yes, preach to us from a book that can’t hold much, if any, value to you.”
Another user wrote, “What house of prayer are Trump and his pals selling in? I don’t get the supposed analogy….i thought you were supposed to be a good writer and understood the conventions of the English language.”
The Epstein files remain at the center of public debate. King’s latest posts have drawn further attention to the ongoing controversy.
