Star Wars’ Mark Hamill Cast in Popular Peacock TV Show’s New Season, Role Possibly Revealed

Mark Hamill has reportedly been cast in the upcoming third season of a popular Peacock TV show. The series is about to start filming its new season after its renewal late last year.

Mark Hamill has been cast in Twisted Metal Season 3, according to Jeff Sneider’s The InSneider. “While unconfirmed, I think it’s safe to say that Hamill will be playing Charles Kane, the father of Sweet Tooth, who is played by Joe Seanoa and voiced by Will Arnett,” writes Sneider in his latest report.

The second season teased Charlie Kane’s appearance through a post-credits scene in which Sweet Tooth finds himself chained and dragged by a taxi. The driver reveals he has been ordered by Sweet Tooth’s father, Kane, to bring him in restrained. A welcome sign on the roadside teases the character as “His Holiness” as Sweet Tooth is dragged into the Eastern Sovereignty. In the video games, Charles Kane is the driver of the Yellow Jacket, a heavily armored car.

The next season is also switching showrunners, as reported previously, with David Reed taking the helm and serving as executive producer. The report also revealed that Anthony Carrigan is expected to reprise his role as Calypso alongside series lead Anthony Mackie.

Twisted Metal is based on the PlayStation video game series, which includes eight mainline titles across PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3. The Peacock TV series debuted in 2023, becoming one of Peacock’s “most-binged” shows. The second season was also successful, becoming the streamer’s “second highest-reaching original returning scripted season.”

Twisted Metal stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Anthony Carrigan, Tahj Vaughans, Thomas Hayden Church, and more. The series was created by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, joined by Michael Jonathan Smith.
