St. Louis Blues Chairman Tom Stillman issued a formal statement on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, condemning what he described as “vile messages of hate” displayed by a group of fans during a recent home game at Enterprise Center. Stillman’s remarks follow an incident involving banners that the team characterized as antisemitic, asserting a zero-tolerance policy for such conduct within the arena.
The incident occurred on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, during the Blues’ game against the Vegas Golden Knights. According to arena reports, a group of protesters positioned themselves in prominent locations, including rinkside seats and a private luxury box, where they unfurled banners with slogans such as “Israel Kills” and “Free America from Israel.” Arena staff and local law enforcement moved quickly to eject the individuals responsible for the display once the content of the signs was identified.
Arena staff and law enforcement ejected several individuals for violating the facility's fan code of conduct.
Stillman, who expressed that the incident was “unfortunate and unforgivable,” emphasized that the franchise remains committed to maintaining a welcoming environment.
Policy Enforcement and Group Response
The protesters have been identified as members of Freedom Convoy USA, a group currently engaged in a cross-country campaign. Following the game, the group claimed responsibility for the demonstration but disputed the team’s characterization of their actions. In a counter-statement, Freedom Convoy USA argued that their banners represented political criticism rather than hate speech. Despite this claim, the Blues organization maintained that the nature of the messaging violated the facility’s fan code of conduct.
Enterprise Center maintains specific regulations regarding fan signage to ensure an unobstructed view and a respectful atmosphere. The current policy restricts banners to dimensions of 24 by 36 inches and explicitly prohibits any imagery or text deemed offensive, political, or derogatory. Team leadership confirmed that the banners used on Oct. 22 exceeded these size limits and contained prohibited content.
